Come and enjoy a relaxing festive experience on the 3rd December at Turtle Bean Cafe, making your very own felt Christmas decorations. This is a special adult and school aged up child workshop that will run from 4.30pm - 6pm. Make your decorations into bunting if you wish.
At this workshop, you will get the chance to make a number of different wet felted decorations. Using chopsticks, soap and water to agitate merino wool tops in a mould, allows for hearts, trees, stars, donkeys and other shapes to be formed. With so many colourful fibres to choose from, you really can make them your own.
We will also be making wet felt baubles and embellishing them with silk and banana fibres.
There will also be options to stick shiny and colourful things onto precut felt stars, baubles and hearts and to draw onto cardboard.
All these designs can then be strung onto ribbon or Christmas string to make bunting. All materials and a drink will be provided.
Thursday 3rd December 2026 - A relaxing workshop making needle felted stars. Arrive from 6.45pm for a 7pm start. Workshop runs until 9pm. A complimentary hot or cold soft drink is included.
At this workshop at Turtle Bean Cafe in Liss, we will be adding beautiful merino wool tops onto star shaped pieces of felt. They can be further embellished with silk fibres. You will be shown how to create interesting patterns and colourful designs, by needle felting, at this workshop. The two pieces of felt will be joined together and Christmas string added all by needle felting on clover mats and then felt mats.
This is an enjoyable workshop, allowing you to make your own decorations that could be hung on a tree, made into bunting or attached to presents. A warm welcome awaits you.
